we'll have more on that in the second segment this evening featuring barney frank. wit wait until you see what this guy says. now, reaction to the day with us former fbi investigator bill daily. and from boston former director of the fbi new york bureau. vice president of the global security firm guards mark. very unusual today. fbi scolded the media. there were reports after rests and this, that and the other thing. cnn was in the front of that. i don't blame that. in the fog of breaking news people just jump, real fast. my question is, is it unprecedented, unusual for the fbi to scold the media? >> well, i think they'll sometime the fbi and media have not met on mutual terms.
8:06 pm
i don't think it's true they scold the media. sometimes things like this happen, if someone from law enforcement side of things let's the word slip, says something about an arrest and media picks up on it they have a job to do, too. it's vying -- trying to vet that is, i think, responsible. >> i think cnn and cbs said there were no arrests but cnn was the one that -- but let me tell you they did scold them, fbi put out a print statement saying unintend td consequences is hurting the investigation. that is a scolding. >> it's -- it's a disagreement with the media. bill. >> i've been in this business 35 years. it's unusual for the bureau to do that. would you say it's unusual? >> boy say it's unusual but it's setting the records straight that. is what the bureau needs to be
